- ING - The phonograph was the first device capable of transforming acoustic music to mechanical sound, invented by Thomas Edison in 1881. The sound were recorded on a wax cylinder and each recording could only be played once. With the invention of the Gramophone, records change to glass, zinc and then to plastic. To control the volume of the instruments in the early recordings, the musicians were placed at different heights in the recording room. First they recorded the sounds on hard wax which is then passed to copper from where the plastic copies were made of. In the 40's the first DJ's appeared , set to encourage the U.S. troops. Year 48 the CBS team presented the first full-length album with much better sound quality, made of polyvinyl resin. Even though the CD started replace the vinyl record in the 80's, it never went away. Today there is a new surge. Listening to a vinyl is an experience, from going to the store, browse through tons of vinyls to find what you seek, see the full details in the cover and to hear the warm and deep sound mixed with the characteristic background noise.
- ESP - El primer aparato capaz de transformar la energía acústica en mecánica fue el Fonógrafo, inventado por Thomas Edison en 1881. Los sonidos se grababan en un cilindro de cera y cada grabación solo podía tocarse una vez. Con la invención del Gramófono, los discos pasaron a ser de vidrio, zinc, hasta llegar al de plástico. Para controlar los volumenes de los instrumentos en las primeras grabaciones, los músicos debían colocarse a diferentes alturas dentro de la sala de grabación. Se registraba en un disco de cera que luego se pasaba a uno de cobre, de donde se hacían las copias al de plástico. En los 40's aparecen los primeros DJ’s, quienes se encargaban de animar a las tropas norteamericanas. En el 48 un equipo de la CBS presentó el primer disco de larga duración y de mucha mejor calidad sonora, hecho de resina de polivinilo. Aunque a partir de los 80's el CD comenzó a sustituir al Vinilo, éste nunca llego a desaparecer. Hoy en día existe un nuevo resurgir. Escuchar un vinilo es toda una experiencia, desde ir a la tienda, toquetearlos para encontrar lo que buscas, visualizar todos los detalles de la carátula, hasta llegar a escuchar el sonido cálido y profundo mezclado con el ruido de fondo que lo caracteriza.
